10 Influential Designer Swimwear Brands of 2019

10 Influential Designer Swimwear Brands of 2019

So you want to invest in some designer swimwear, finding that fast fashion is unravelling quicker than the next Kardashian/Jenner IG post? Well investing in designer swimwear from some of the most influential brands in the luxury sector is a definite no brainer for those who are looking for quality. Note 'quality' does not mean not-on-trend or boring, it  means, especially in the swimwear industry, well-made, original ideas (aka minimal ripping-off... well there is a little!) not mass-produced and in a lot of cases ethically sourced and hand-made using the best and sustainable fabrics money can buy.

Buying swimwear in store can be daunting, so online is a perfect place to browse the best without moving anything more than your wrists. Hopefully we can serve you well when making your next fashion conscious buy that will stead you well for years to come or find something special that resonates with you.

We've rounded up the most luxurious and unique bikini and swimwear brands for 2019, all of which offer something different. Each section will tell you about the brand, the price points, what makes them unique and where to buy...and yes some are available at PEEPING-T.COM of course!

Visually stunning first off, secondly black people...yaass! In a social media and fashion industry that can and does look a certain kind of way, I am beyond excited by this brand. Being black growing up in England and not seeing myself represented anywhere unless I sort it on the second from bottom shelf at the newsagents (thank you Black Beauty magazine), I found it pretty hard to love myself the way I was, note to self: you're almost there. So to see brands like B Fyne is absolutely beautiful.  The brain-child of B Fyne is from Nigerian-American designer Buki Ade. The influencers you will see from her collections incorporate traditional prints, drawing inspiration from her roots to "diversify traditional aquatic attire"

I love me some Beach Bunny, I have about six or seven of their bikinis. The highly exclusive and gorgeous swimwear collections over the years have been a heady mixture of glamorous meets sexy, playful, adventurous and undeniably luxurious. The founder of Beach Bunny Swimwear, Angela Chittenden's passion for couture swimwear kicked in at an early age. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved fashion and swimwear.”As a former swimsuit model, Angela had the chance to wear hundreds of different suits. “And none of them ever felt right,” she recalls. “Either they were too conservative with too much coverage, or they weren’t very classy. There was nothing out there that was sexy and elegant. So I decided to design my own.” Grl Power!

Their swimwear collection champions and celebrates all type of women's bodies with a positive message of ensuring confidence is first. For their most recent collection Malucelli's smartly collaborated with Katie Sturino, the popular plus-size fashion and lifestyle blogger behind The 12ish Style. Kate hit the nail on the head when she was interviewed on Refinary29.com "...the hardest part about finding a good bathing suit is, well, finding a good bathing suit. Plus size swimwear typically looks like it is made for a plus body, or like it is trying to hide something"

I definitely agree, being in the industry for over 15 years there is still something missing with who and how most swimwear brands market plus size swimwear and also how people of a particular size 'should' dress in order to fit societies principles...its time for a change people.
